A dependable outdoor option for beginners on a budget
I started the seed in basic seedling soil in March, and it germinated without any trouble. After that, I moved it into a 20-liter container filled with a budget-friendly blend of Terra Preta and standard potting soil and kept it on a south-facing balcony.
I topped the main stem once, which encouraged the plant to branch out, although my training skills could still use some improvement. Beginning in early July, I triggered flowering for roughly four weeks by moving the plant into a dark closet for more than 12–14 hours each night. From August onward, it finished under the natural outdoor light cycle at approximately 48° north latitude.
The plant produced two main colas and reached around 4.3 feet above the rim of the container. I harvested in mid-September when a stretch of poor weather caused the first signs of grey mould. Before that, the plant had remained completely free from pest and disease issues.
The effects felt smooth, balanced, and well rounded. It was not as energetic as a pure sativa fan might prefer, but it delivered the broad experience expected from a THC-dominant variety. More potent strains are available, but Skunk stands out because it is simple and forgiving to grow. In humid conditions, some type of overhead rain protection is a smart idea, particularly for balcony cultivation.
