Kannabia Seeds – Spanish style and innovation
Kannabia is a brand originating near Barcelona. The bank was founded in 2002, when cannabis was already popular but it was hard to get high-quality seeds. The founders decided to create stable, productive strains themselves, using a network of local breeders working with natural methods and without genetic engineering. Their goal is to deliver seeds with high vigor, resilience, and exceptional flavor.
Brand philosophy
- Stability and performance. Each strain undergoes multi-year selection to ensure consistent phenotypes, high yields, and disease resistance. They’re tested in different environments—from Mediterranean heat to the humid Atlantic coast.
- Local heritage. Thanks to cooperation with Spanish farmers, the catalog includes both classic Skunk genes and local crosses that perform well in a Mediterranean climate.
- Innovation and originality. The company regularly introduces new crosses, including CBD-rich strains and unique terpene combinations. Their Swiss Dream is one of the first strains with very low THC (< 1%) and high CBD.
- User-focused. Kannabia offers strains for both beginners and advanced growers; their products are easy to cultivate and come with detailed instructions. The brand is known for friendly customer service and clear labeling.

Tips for growers
- Environment: Kannabia strains grow best in warm climates; in cooler regions it’s worth using a tunnel or greenhouse. High drought resistance makes cultivation easier in Southern Europe.
- Water in moderation: overly wet medium promotes mold; let the top layers of soil dry between waterings. Use natural antifungal measures to keep roots healthy.
- Feeding: start with light doses; plants react quickly to excess salts, so organic compost is preferred. Compost tea feeding works great.
- Training: LST and topping work well for sativa-dominants; indicas usually need only light tie-downs. When possible, use the FIM method to increase the number of tops.
- Control humidity in flowering: especially with sativas, which like warm, dry air. In the last weeks, reduce watering and raise temperature to stimulate resin production.
